JOY RIDES ON THE BUDDHA BUS
ENLIGHTENED ADVENTURE
OUR MISSION
The Buddha Bus is no ordinary bus. It's a portal to spiritually minded, enlightened adventure. It's JOY off the mat! Our mission is to go on group field trips aka JOY RIDES!
We will plan trips to local events, hikes, museums, historical landmarks, temples, and more...we will even have a pick up / drop off option (if you live in Salem) to events at JOY.
The Buddha Bus will nurture the adventure: We will play video and/or audio, have discussions etc about applying the tools of mindfulness off of our mats and cushions, preparing for our arrival and approaching our event through those eyes.
This mindset will give these experiences new and deeper meaning.
Shared spiritual travel will cultivate meaningful community to enJOY the wonder and beauty of this world.
We are delighted to extend JOY off the mat and into the world around us and look forward to growing this community with you!

UPCOMING JOY RIDES
School of JOY Presents:
On Dec. 4th 10am-3pm the Buddha Bus will travel to the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum in Boston!
We will leave JOY Wellness at 10am sharp and will return around 3pm.
Museum Tickets must be ordered in advance. Please reserve your spot by November 15th by using the ticket link provided.
The museum opened in 1903. Founded by, you guessed it Isabella Stewart Gardner. A New York native who traveled the world, fell in love with Boston and attempted to bring the beauty and romance of Venice, Italy to the city that she loved so dearly.
The artwork is eclectic and idiosyncratic. At once intimate and unparalleled in its grandeur, the Isabella Stewart Gardner museum draws on the art collection of its eponymous founder. Within a Venetian-style palazzo, surrounding an elegant courtyard decorated in verdant plants, masterpieces hang next to architectural elements Gardner purchased from Europe.
The ambience of the museum itself is a treasure and an almost spiritual experience as you travel through time and into Isabella's passion for art. It’s a work of art, love and passion and the wonders it holds are truly one of a kind.
Gardner’s personal collection reflects her thirst for travel, a bohemian lifestyle, and the fine luxuries of ancient cultures. Stewart Gardner herself delicately arranged the collection of more than 7,500 fine and decorative art objects, 2,700 books and manuscripts, and over 8,000 historic objects from around the world, including sculptures, furniture, textiles, metalworks, and ceramics, that she collected over the course of her lifetime.
During one of many tours abroad, Gardner set a world record for her purchase of Titian’s Rape of Europa, outbidding representatives from Paris' Musée du Louvre and London's National Gallery.

Join us for a mindful stroll in the woods and on the property of Robert Frost Farm in Derry NH. We will spend time reading his poetry and getting into the mind set he may have experienced while creating and cultivating the land, the land that he had a deep relationship with.
The Buddha Bus will leave JOY at 8am sharp. On our short journey there Jennifer and Josh will discuss how to create a morning altar, which we will each be creating after our mindful walk through the woods.
Once we arrive we will approach our walk together stopping at each placard to read the poetry taking in the fall air and feeling into Frost's mindset while living and working at the farm.
You will then have self directed time to collect natural items to create your morning altar.
After, there will be time to explore the house and gift shop as long as it's open during that time.
We will provide bottled water and healthy snacks.
We have room for 12 people on the Buddha bus. You must register each person individually if you are coming with friends or family. Children are welcome.
Dress appropriately for the weather that day. Rain or shine.
